Company celebrates opening with gala and donates 300 gallons of paint to Frisco Family Services

Frisco, TX, March 14, 2003 - An ICI Paints store located at 2930 Preston Rd, suite 970 will open on March 14 with a grand opening event beginning at 8 a.m. followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon. In conjunction with the opening, ICI Paints will donate 300 gallons of paint to Frisco Family Services Center, which is Frisco's only non-profit social service organization.

Frisco Family Services Center offers the only food pantry in Frisco, serving more than 1,000 people in need each month in addition to emergency financial services for families in crisis, among other services. Nationally, ICI Paints is also a proud national sponsor of Habitat for Humanity, with plans to provide more than 20,000 gallons of free paint to support Habitat house build projects across the country this year.

The grand opening event at the store will feature a fajitas lunch, casino games of chance, product demonstrations and special pricing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. By opening the new store, ICI Paints will improve local service and make it easier and more convenient for professional painting contractors, maintenance managers and community development corps to obtain painting supplies for area projects.

The new 4,000 square foot store is managed locally by David Gross. The store employs four people and joins 14 other ICI Paints stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Store hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Regarding the paint donation, Kim Kamen, Executive Director of Frisco Family Services Center said, "This paint donation could not have come at a better time. We just moved in to a new facility and have a few more painting projects to complete in the building. We will use the remainder to support ongoing projects in Frisco-area clients' homes in conjunction with local church groups."
